When you speak in public, it is important to be prepared in order to make a great impression. What do you plan to say? Support your statements with facts, when necessary. Take notes on the topic. Practice the remarks as many times as needed, until you can say them by heart. You will be much more confident when giving your speech if you are properly prepared.

You cannot speak before an audience and think that others will automatically know what you are saying. You have to work at getting attention and retain their attention.
